Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a better time of year to have a driveway or pathway installed?
We can install new driveways, pathways and road surfaces all year round. If there is particularly unsuitable weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snow, and fog, we may need to reschedule work to ensure we achieve the best possible results.
How long does it take to install a driveway?
The length of time it takes to install a driveway will vary. Aspects such as size, shape, and surface material will affect the time it takes to complete the work. Generally, gravel surfaces are the quickest to complete.
How much will a new driveway cost?
The cost of your new driveway will depend on various factors including the size, shape and materials used. We offer free no-obligation quotations and can also provide a range of quotes for different types of surface, so you can choose the best option to suit your budget.
Can I have a dropped curb?
We can assist with the installation of dropped curbs, however, you must obtain permission from your local council first.
Will petrol or diesel damage a tarmac surface?
Petrol and diesel leaks can stain and damage tarmac surfaces. As a result, it is worth considering alternatives if your surface will be used for regular car and motorbike repairs. If excessive fuel leaks onto a tarmac surface, the fuel can dissolve the bitumen within the tarmac, leading to damage. Heavily damaged areas will require tarmac repairs to stop the surrounding areas of the surface becoming affected.
Are resin and tarmac the same thing?
No. Resin is a clear substance that binds aggregate. Resin is becoming a popular choice for surfaces due to the fact it does not affect the colour of the chosen stone aggregate.
Tarmac contains bitumen and is black in appearance. We offer both tarmac and resin bonded driveways, so speak to us for more information about what the best option is for you.
